“….it is not so much what the Chamber
does for the individual,
but what the individual in cooperation
with his neighbors can do for the community
of which he, himself, is a part.”

In our own lives, each of us was touched by someone – other then our parents – who introduced us to new worlds and brought a little magic into our lives… catching fireflies for the first time, flying a kite, a first trip to the ballpark, building sandcastles at the beach, eating an ice cream sundae. By becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, you can do the same for a child. And you will both be forever changed by the experience.
New volunteers and corporate partners are needed to mentor children in the Dodge County area schools and communities every day. There are so many children in the county that need a friend in their life – make a difference, be a friend and help put hope in their future. Please consider volunteering, becoming a corporate partner, or making a financial contribution today.

Have you heard of the new Giving For Life Donor Recognition Program? It was created to honor and thank donors for their life-saving gift. That’s why a specialized Path within the program just for donors has been created.. It’s called I Give for All Seasons. You are invited to join that Path, and fulfill three giving goals within the calendar year:
1. Give blood three times, with at least two during designated “high need” times – summer and holidays.
AND
2. Sign up for the Be the Match Marrow Registry AND/OR Organ and Tissue consent registry (If you’re already registered, it counts) OR volunteer for BCW.
AND
3. Provide a valid email address.
As a special thank you, you’ll have the option to choose from one of several gifts. An invitation to a special recognition reception; a special, framed certificate to recognize the profound difference you’re making in someone’s life; a seasonal entertainment ticket package, such as Summerfest, State Fair, Wisconsin Dells/Noah’s Ark, Marcus movie passes; or a customized Giving for Life t-shirt. It’s our way to thank you for your life-saving contributions.
To start on your Path, log in to and then click on the Giving for Life link on the left hand side of the page. If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to call 1-877-BE-HERO (1-877-232-4376). Remember to continually visitto track the progress of the giving goals you have completed.
Thank you for all the lives that will be touched by yours.

The Horicon Area Foundation is
….. an independent, non-profit, philanthropic trust for the benefit of the community
…..a depository for gifts and funds given by donors, individuals or corporations, to meet community needs
In 1986 the Horicon Community Development Corporation organized and chartered the Foundation through which public spirited citizens could make lasting gifts for the long term needs of the community.
The wise distribution of money for community philanthropy is the only goal of the Foundation, which assures donors that gifts received and distributions made from the Foundation are based on the following principles:
- Meeting the greatest local needs in the most constructive way
- Guaranteeing flexibility by adapting to changing conditions if an original gift purpose becomes obsolete.
- Permanent administration of funds under the direction of community leaders serving as trustees.
- Obtaining maximum tax advantages for the donor, the donor’s heirs and estate.
- Perpetuating a Memorial
- Simplified gift-making….A donor simply passes his gift of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate to the Foundation with a letter stating the nature of contribution.
